Everyone wants to motivate the people in order to complete the work at a time or for any other reason and this can only be happen when we are self motivated, so until and unless we are not motivated, we cannot motivate others. Many times, in our life, when we are reviving old memories we get into a phase of nostalgia. We feel that we could have done better than what we had achieved. Be it thinking about that nerve shattering school result, because of which we couldn't get into our favorite stream or that single mark, which could have secured us a merit seat in our various choice of colleges. But thinking back won’t rewind the tireless worker called time. All we can do is promise ourselves that we will give our very best in the future. But do we really keep up to our mental commitments? I can guess that 90% answers are in the negative. This is because of that creepy careless attitude which is slowly, but surely entering into the mind of teenagers like us.
There is no simple solution for a lack of motivation. Even after beating it, the problem reappears at the first sign of failure. The key understands your thoughts and how they drive your emotions. By learning how to nurture motivating thoughts, neutralize negative ones, and focus on the task at hand, you can pull yourself out of a slump before it gains momentum.
There are some Primary reasons we lose motivation
1) The first motivation killer is a lack of confidence: When this happen to me, it’s usually because I am focusing entirely on want and neglecting what I already have. When I only think about what I want, my mind creates explanations for why I am not getting it. This creates negative thoughts. Past failures, bad breaks and personal weakness dominate my mind. I become nervous and started making excuses for why I cannot succeed. With this sometime I create bad impression and lose self confidence. I analyzed the things and came to the solution that, the way to get out of this thought pattern is to focus on gratitude, set aside time to focus on everything positive in my life and make a mental list of my strengths, past successes and current advantages. So after learning this techniques, I am trying to make an effort to feel grateful and now I realize how I can be competent and successful in my life when compare to others and this help me a lot to rejuvenate my confidence level.
2) Developing Tangible Focus: My second motivation killer is a lack of focus। I normally think in terms of fear. I am afraid of being alone or I am afraid if my goals are not achieved etc. The problem with this type of my thinking is that fear alone is not actionable, instead of doing about my fear; it feeds on itself and drains my motivation. The main thing I have ever learned is that if I caught up in fear based thinking, the first step that I have to do is focusing the energy on a well defined goal. By focusing our mind on a positive goal instead of an ambiguous fear, we should put our brain to work. Therefore, now I am not too much worrying about the future but I start doing something about it. This is my first step in motivating me to take action. Now whatever I want, I become motivated to take actions.
